Bat Out Of Hell

Despite my early reservations about this show when I first saw it, it is fast becoming a firm favourite of mine. Not for the story, but for the music and, more specifically, the current cast. I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again - they are absolutely sensational! Danielle Steers and Sharon Sexton are phenomenal. The cast recording simply doesn’t do justice to just how amazing they, and the rest of the cast, are. On this trip I was hoping to see Jordan Luke Gage as the new Strat. Alas, that wasn’t to be, the role being covered by Simon Gordon, the Alternate Strat. But, you know what, I wouldn’t have known that had I not checked the names afterwards, because he was brilliant. Covers and alternates are amazing, and in my experience often better than those who should be playing the role, so never be disappointed if you’re seeing a cover or an alternate - this is their moment, so you are in for a magical evening.

A word of warning about this show - it is not good show to see if you have a headache or migraine (I speak from experience!)! However, if you’re well, get yourself tickets to this show; and even if you don’t think you like Meatloaf music, go and see this, because this cast is incredible.
